About Swell Bistro
Established in June 2022 by Chef Jordan, Swell Bistro gives a fresh, contemporary touch to traditional bistro dining. Sourcing unique, fresh ingredients is the secret behind the delicious food created in our seaside kitchen. Chef Jordan creates all her own sauces, batters her barramundi and squid, and forms her meat patties for that succulent burger.
Who is Chef Jordan
We are so pleased to say, a born and bred Scotts Head resident who completed her apprenticeship and refined her skills in Newcastle NSW at establishments such as Sprout Dining, MEET, The Regal Inn and The Greenroof Hotel. Chef Jordan brings her skills back home to lead her community and its visitors on an exciting culinary journey.
Jordan’s amazing achievements include:
- working under Australian Chef of the Year, Jacquie Brown
- catering a private lunch for musicians Peking Duck and Golden Features
- serving a long lunch in collaboration with famous Australian
Chef Massimo Mele - a Vogue magazine publication of her popular and amazing grazing tables

My partner and I attended your Melbourne Cup function this year and were blown away by the standard of food and service.
After many years of chemotherapy, my partner now has to ensure a specialised diet, your wonderful chef and hospitality staff went over and above to make sure she received the right meal, even though they were quiet busy, explained what ingredients made up each serving.
What can sometimes be a stressful outing for people on special diets, was turned into a truly enjoyable day. Your kitchen and hospitality staff made it that way, not forgetting the rest of the staff there that served us with a cheerful smile all day.
We have had a few enjoyable Melbourne Cup days at the Club and that one was the best!

We had some young families head to the club from the caravan park for a bowls and live entertainment afternoon. The kids loved the outdoor area and the adults loved club priced drinks. We had dinner there after the music stopped and the meals were huge and great quality. Value for money and a fun venue. A lot of improvements and changes lately has made Club Scotts an icon in beautiful Scotts Head.
